Proposed US legislation aims to tackle online piracy, but critics claim passing it could jeopardise internet freedoms.
Thousands of websites are going dark on Wednesday to protest the
controversial Stop Online Piracy Act. Critics claim sites could be shut
down without due process under the guise of protecting copyright laws.
Wikipedia, Reddit, Mozilla and Google are only a few of the major websites protesting SOPA on Wednesday.
